You will never see a headline like American Troops fired on civilians, even when they do, then how is it that western media so confidentially conceive such provocative headlines? Simple, the troops hit a Church and that is the kind of story American theocrats like for Sunday sermons. Phony’s priest Pat Robertson is set to predict tomorrow during his weekend TV sermon that Sri Lanka would spin into a civil war, and that god will punish Lankans with waves of Tsunami.

Today marked the day when US military causality in Iraq reached a landmark 2500. Sadly, people at the Capitol Hill were signing off on something all together irrelevant. This morning, President Bush signed the Mine Improvement and New Emergency Response (MINER) Act into law. While no way am I undermining the lives of miner, but such emphasis and attention from deaths of 33 miners this year seem awfully overrated when so many Americans are dying in Iraq. Miners are obviously more valuable than Marines, think about it, Marines fight wars, insurgents, enemies, and die doing it, end of story, while Miners bring to surface coal, which is as precious as OIL. Fighting for oil may be good, but obviously not as good as mining for coal.

Christian groups in India have pressurized the Censor Board of India (the council that certifies films) to insert a legal note, which indicates the “fictitious” nature of the film The Da Vinci Code at the beginning for 15 seconds.
The Censor Board of India, a corrupt government body working in tandem with the ruling Congress government is attempting to appease the minorities yet again. I did not see an outcry for one such legal note for the movie “The Passion of Christ”, how did they know that was not fictitious?
This episode reminds me of when India (and its pseudo-secular government) banned Salman Rushdie’s “Satanic Verses” just to accommodate the Muslim minorities.
This goes to all who do …

When asked what the best moment of his presidency was, Bush replied “I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5lb (3.4kg) perch in my lake,” Although he did not specify what type the perch was, he said “its classified informationâ€?. Bush continued that his best moment ever was “when I was elected President in 2000 despite the majority voting for Goreâ€?. Karl Rove, who was present with the president seemed flustered and hurriedly unplugged President Bush’s microphone.
