Don’t blame the immigrants, blame the Muslims

21st century terrorDo you get the sense that our politicians and the media jerks alike are trying to make an issue with “skilled immigrants” in connection with the recently foiled terror plot in the UK?

I wish that for once they could just come out and say that the problem indeed are the Muslims and not all immigrants. When was the last time a Chinese or Filipino tried to fly a plane into a building? On the contrary, check this terror attacks map for the 21st century and you’ll soon find yourself running into the same lowest common dominator, A.K.A “Islamic Radicals”. So the …

On why he would wear a Belt Bomb

Gaza kid wounded

It’s quite simple, if I lost my wife, mother, daughter, son, or my father to military aggression, I too would wear a belt bomb. Why the heck can’t they figure this out? Violence begets violence.

Bush says “Mission Accomplished” again!

bushBush vetoed the war-spending bill again! In a repeat of the famous 2003 speech aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, President Bush, this time speaking from the Jedi Temple said “4 years and $500,000,000,000 dollars later, the mission remains accomplished”.

This leads me to the question, what else could we have done with a meager $500 billion? Experts say, $500 billion can fund our Social Security program for the next 75 years and a quick calculation tells me that we can give every individual on this planet, (terrorist or otherwise) $85 each!

In summary, somewhere along the spending spree, 1) we forgot all about bin Laden, 2) blindly theorized …

Can Hillary Clinton win in 2008?

hillaryThis is old news by now, but are the Democrats risking the White House takeover by backing Hillary and Obama, while Southern moderates like John Edwards (and Mark Warner – I hope he runs) take the backseat?

The real challenge would be to have a candidate strong enough to pit against John McCain, neither Hillary nor Obama fit the bill.

Children of a Lesser God

polic and bagGruesome cases of serial rape and child murder has finally shifted the spotlight on tens of thousands of children that go missing in India. According to NPR, over 45,000 go missing each year and the efforts to search and recover are purely the privilege of the rich. The countries police (who I personally think are a bunch of corrupt dimwits) have not just failed the poor, but the nation as a whole.

Sanjeev Srivastava, India editor of the BBC’s Hindi service writes, “Where else in the world could children be disappearing like they were in Nithari for more than a year without the police registering a case and investigating, …

Blogger Gets Wrestled by George Allen Cronies

Allen has done it again! Blogger Mike Stark, a first-year University of Virginia law student, approached Allen and asked “Why did you spit at your first wife, George?” and that was good enough reason for his goons to put him in a chokehold, wrestle him, dragged him backward and slung him to the carpet outside the meeting room. No one is for sure if Allen really treated his first wife bad, but going by the way his cronies treat the citizens of the commonwealth, it leaves me wondering if Allen is capable of doing what the blogger claims.

Jim Webb, not George “the bigot? Allen

webbThe senate race is on in full swing in Virginia, and many in my state are dumb enough to vote for GWB twice, so it would be no surprise if they re-elect George “the bigot? Allen. If you are one of em dimwits, move on and read the story about Wal-Mart or drugs, and those who are fence sitting, here’s are a few video’s to help you decide.

George is a bigot, I am not sure if I mentioned that earlier, but he is a racist in and out, he dislikes people of color, that one single criteria is good enough (for me) to get him out …

Pope and Islam, The So Called “Religion of Peace”

popeOk, I am no fan of the Nazi Pope, but the recent speech that sparked a controversy in the Muslim world got me thinking about him again. Earlier this week, the Pope quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor who said the Prophet Muhammad had brought the world only “evil and inhuman” things. Though he never retracted the statement, he did release a statement as read by Vatican Secretary of State “The Holy Father is very sorry that some passages of his speech may have sounded offensive to the sensibilities of Muslim believers.” But not all accepted his apology, Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood said the statement did not go far enough and called on the pontiff to apologize in person. There are two ways of looking at this situation:
1) The Pope’s quote was wrong and Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance, in which case, his statement should be tolerated and his apology peacefully accepted.
2) The Pope’s statement was correct.
If Islam indeed was about tolerance, why are Muslims intolerant towards western ideas? If, Islam indeed was about peace, how then can we explain more than half the raging conflicts worldwide?

Not to say that western religions are tolerant or peaceful, but they neither claim nor pretend to be.

And for those who want to know what the Pope really siad, here it is (Pope on Holy War):
I was reminded of all this recently, when I read… of part of the dialogue carried on - perhaps in 1391 in the winter barracks near Ankara - by the erudite Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus and an educated Persian on the subject of Christianity and Islam, and the truth of both.

In the seventh conversation…the emperor touches on the theme of the holy war. Without descending to details, such as the difference in treatment accorded to those who have the “Book” and the “infidels”, he addresses his interlocutor with a startling brusqueness on the central question about the relationship between religion and violence in general, saying: “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”

The emperor, after having expressed himself so forcefully, goes on to explain in detail the reasons why spreading the faith through violence is something unreasonable. Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul. “God,” he says, “is not pleased by blood - and not acting reasonably is contrary to God’s nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats.”

Cost of Life VI

childThe conflict in the Middle East has been on for more than 26 days, and the tolls are disproportionately higher on the Lebanese side, surprised, don’t be, that is how wars are, nothing fair about it. According to casualty counts by popular media, Lebanon has 10 times more death from this illegal, unjust and inhumane occupation by Israel, with death tally exceeding more than a thousand, and I am talking only about civilians. So with simple arithmetic and my pragmatic view of this world, I compute the life of a Lebanese to be 10 times cheaper than that of an Israeli. What about Hezbollah you may ask? According to our respected media, they don’t count.

Fundamentally Wrong

atefahThere are many reasons I think of to condemn religious fundamentalism, this is just one of it. This story reflects on the cultural deficiency of certain sects in our society and their faulty justification for their cruel and inhumane acts. Like it or not, these people (fill in the name of your favorite fundamentalist group) are morons who can’t tell their asses from their faces, the Ayatollahs of stupidity, the Popes of idiocy.

If we in this day and age tolerate such barbarism, we are nothing more than tools in the hands of the devil himself. We should not just oppose, but proactively eliminate such cancerous clerics who waste the lives of our youth in the name of cultural cleansing. It is they who need to be hung.
