Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon Script

October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”, I might be a few days late, but I thought I will share the Java for the pink ribbon that is pinned to the right end of my site. The variables you might have to change are the left margin (currently set at 750px) to ensure it fits your [...]

The Other Point of View – A Designers Opinion on Sponsored Themes

I took the backseat for much of this debate that has been raging for a few weeks now, but it’s time for my response. At Headsetoptions, we are two designers with over 70 themes to our humble credit, some original, some modified and most ported from free CSS templates designed by our friends, and most [...]

The Taliban’s are Environmentally Conscious!

In a recent study to assess power usage per shower, an Australian company determined that on average, users shower for about 7min daily. This number only goes up when other activity such as shaving is performed as part of showering.
Here’s the breakup:
Women that shave their legs: 10.5min
Men who shave: 8.5min
Those who brush while showering: 8.75min
The [...]

Why Web 2.0?

“The world is ever changing, so should the web”
Web 2.0 is the next generation platform that allows users and owners alike to interact (and shape the web) in ways impossible in the past. Wikis, Blogs, Social-networking, Podcast, Videocast, are just a few examples of how Web 2.0 plays a role in today’s internet experience. I [...]

Create Your Own Universe!

Columbia University physics professor Brian Greene says if given the chance to build a universe, he would find it hard to resist. A very interesting interview I heard on NPR. Read or listen to the story.

Crack Cocaine: Mandatory Minimum Sentences Rule turns 20

I heard this in the news today, if a person is caught with “crack cocaine, the sentencing is 100 times more harsh as compared to getting caught with powdered cocaine, hundred times!
This was cleverly designed in the early 90’s to go after the poor, inner-city minorities. While the rich and famous continue to abuse the [...]
