US Episcopal Church says “Gays, Lesbians, what difference?
In a daring move, the US Episcopal Church today chose a woman as its leader. A church spokesperson in conditions of anonymity said “we have in the past ordained gays for priesthood, why should lesbians be treated unfairly. He rebutted saying “not to mean that Katharine Jefferts Schori was a butch.
Â
With over a quarter of the remaining parishioners being 65 or older, this controversial (of a women leader) choice could result in the “shrinking of the church. Many gay and lesbians activists disagreed and said in a statement that “if anything, it will swell. God bless America.
