Still, on the face of it, PR penalties might not be too bad. A lot of great bloggers have received them, yet their organic search engine results haven’t been affected. It’s more like a public perception penalty, for those aware of PR.

I’ve just discovered that the problem has to do with a GMail security failure, and I’m publishing a new blog post detailing the infection later today.

We feel the pain my friend. We recently had to deal with hackers hijacking one of our site, spamming it, and us paying with a PR penalty. I hope you manage to get your site back!
