The top of your page gets a strange look for screens set to use bigger textsize, so you might look into that.

It looks strange to me as well, with all that empty space to the right. A centered layout would be much better in my opinion.

Never use black and white text on same website. Because users can only see one color at the time. Users prefer black (75 %) on a white background.

I totally agree: On my 22″ screen it looks really weird to have your webpage on just half the screen.

Why not center it?

I like it. Less is more. Most news sites do not have any more space dedicated to posts than you have. The rest of the space is just all ads.
