    This one also doesn’t validate in WP 2.3

    Really nice theme – I wondered if we can put our own image in the search box above the text. If that were possible I think that this theme would be quite perfect. Thanks for making it available.

  1. 11. hso | December 27, 2007 #

    @ Emma

    I am not quite sure if I understand. Which image are you referring to? I do not see any “image in the search box”, please clarify.

  1. 12. emma | December 28, 2007 #

    Sorry perhaps I should have written the box above the search box…with the blue image…on the right..sticking into the grey header where you say you can add your own intro..
    Does that help? My jargon is probably dodge so forgive me that.
    I’m using ultranineo now as it’s great too. Haven’t completely reorganised the information yet though. Happy NY.

    @ Emma

    Got it, I checked your site and noticed you were using the Ultra Noneo theme and got a little confused.

    TO answer your questions, it is possible to change the image. The simplest way to activate the theme and go to the Theme Options page at WP Admin > Presentation > Current Theme Options. Once there, you will have an option to change the right image (last option in this case). You can add the URI of an image of size 358px by 158px directly into the options page and hit save, this is the simple way. Else, you can replace the image right1.jpg in the theme folder with an image of your choice (also of size 358px by 158px), that will simply replace the blue image with yours.

    Hope it helps!

    That’s great to hear – thanks hso. Now I have some options to play with.
    Sorry to keep you so busy..but couple of queries on the ultranineo..your themes are keeping me up way too late!
    Do I paste my adsense code in 2 x main index and 1 sidebar files as indicated and remove the fake ad text?
    If my site is 2.2.2 I don’t need to use the sidebar plugin is that right?
    Thanks for your time hso.

    I really wanted to do the test run but it loads to a blank page and the url becomes:
    http://www.headsetoptions.org/play/

    that’s not what you are sending me to when I mouse on the link…but that’s where it goes.

    Where else can I get a test run preview to see this wonderful design in all it’s glory?

  1. 16. hso | January 4, 2008 #

    @ Cheryl Gonzalez

    It works for me. What browser are you using? Here’s another location for you try the test run from, let me know if it worked.

    Like Emma, I too, can’t seem to figure out how to make replace the little grey siloutte head with my own face. I tried the instructions above, but the right image is not an option listed under Current Theme Options. It only lists things related to the colors and fonts.

    Thanks!

  1. 18. hso | January 8, 2008 #

    @ Karen

    You are right, that is not included in the options page. The way to add your image is by replace the current image called author.gif (which is 80px by 80px in size) and can be found in the images folder within your theme folder.

    Hello! Great looking theme!

    This is my first blog and I want to change the image (above the Search box) and the background color.

    I have two questions:

    1. the install instructions mention a plugin file, but there’s only one nineo folder in the zip. Is there something missing??

    2. your Dec 29/07 post here discusses how to change the image, but when I go to WP admin > Presentation > Themes there are no “Theme Options” to change. I’m using WP2.3.1

    Thanks for your help!

    RE: Edited comment (I found out the answer to original #2)

    Hello! Great looking theme!

    This is my first blog and I want to change the image (above the Search box) and the background color.

    I have two questions:

    1. the install instructions mention plugins files, but there’s only the “nineo” folder in the zip download. Is there something missing??

    2. your Dec 29/07 post here discusses how to change the image, but is there also a way to change the thin diagonal line pattern at the very top of the header (ie. I feel those diagonal lines make the title and subtitle hard to read).

    Thanks for your help!

    @ Terry McGraw

    On

    1) There are no plugins, especially since you are using 2.3.1 which has sidebar widget built in.

    2) I don’t like the lines myself, the easiest way to remove it is by actually editing the header image (in your case you are using red.gif within the images folder of the theme).

    I am currently working on a site using this great theme, but I have some problem with aligning images.

    I try to align them to the right, but they always go to the left, regardless of the code. I am guessing there is something in the css overriding the code, but I can’t find it. Any suggestions?

  1. 25. hso | March 22, 2008 #

    @ Erik

    Open style.php and look for this:

    #left_side img {
    float : left;
    padding : 0 10px 5px 0;
    }

    Delete the line:

    float : left;

    That should do it.
