Da Vinci Last Supper Images Superimposed

There’s huge buzz going around about Da Vinci “Last Supper” fresco and how this one IT geek was able to superimpose the reverse image of the same and is able to:

  1. See a Templar knights in red robe on both sides of the table
  2. See a person holding a baby, and
  3. Mary Magdelene vanishes

Well, I looked at the images myself and I could not see any Templar, but I do see a figure holding something like a baby and indeed Mary is missing. Sorry about the poor resolution of the images, and I’ll let you be the judge!

Yea, I don’t see a Templar Knight, but I can make out the baby. Really strange.

Templar: It’s the guy on each end … with the cape and helmet!

In the painting I don’t see what you do but I see that Jesus who is in the center of the table becomes the Lion of Judea. The people around him are no longer the disciples but other believers not just God’s chosen people, but Gentiles.

Ok ppl, I have one question about this superimposing… Why is it that the superimposed image has been moved about 5cm to the right? I mean I tried this exercise out and it looked way off, until I moved the picture over a little! Of course we’re going to see something there! our minds are looking for it. geez get back to me when some real information has come to light

    peace

    @ Phone

I noticed the shift to the right too, but the idea is clever don’t you think?

Being the geek I am, I had to try it. Downloaded a JPG and played in PhotoShop. Here are the results:

If the walls are centered/matched up, there’s not much more than a mess:

But if it is superimposed so that Jesus’ face is perfectly centered…

Jesus becomes a Cyclops Alien with a halo!

    @ Jeanne B

That’s some serious work there Jeanne, this thing will soon become an obsession :-)

Jesus look exactly like Baphomet! Take a look. I see a small alien at the table instead of a Templar

For the Templar knights you circled the wrong one. It is the guys on the left and the right that are sitting down. The one on the left is the most clear. In the original the guy in blue is standing up but in the super imposed a guy with helmet and red like cape is sitting down.

    @ Terry

You are right, I finally see the Templar, it’s the person on the left (and blur on the right), with the blue robe and wearing a skinny helmet, right? The large format image really helped.

One eye in the center means wisdom, all knowing. We have it on the back of our dollar bill to signify that we are not complete, and god watches over us.

I see Mary on each side with the blue head cover with the white border that she wore like nuns wear. I see someone behind her in a red robe holding a small child or I can see the head and the childs eyes are closed and the man’s hand is over the baby’s mouth.

In the superimposed picture, looking at Jesus’ image, I see a chalice. The mouth of the vessel is just under Jesus’ head. There is a cross on the front of the chalice. Very interesting!

Can anyone tell me what the letters on top of the picture is for?
