Hottest headlines: eBay Acquires StumbleUpon
Google, AOL and eBay had been eyeing StumbleUpon for acquisitions for a while now. StumbleUpon site has 2.1 million users, up from 1.7 million in December 2006, where more than 4 million sites are “stumbled” daily, so it’s no surprise that Google would want to buy StumbleUpon, as Google buys everything that’s hot!
For a change, eBay won the race this time and bought StumbleUpon. GigaOm reported an asking price of $45 million, whereas the Wall Street Journal reports the deal worth $75 million.
However, Google has a surefire way of winning, here’s the story.
