    It would be very desirable to see templates on all width of page

    Hi,

    I like your “Bees” theme but would like to leave out the Page 1 and Page 2 links at the top, which seem kind of redundant. Is that doabale and if so how?

  1. 10. hso | April 30, 2007 #

    @ Christopher Rose

    Pages 1 and 2 were created using WP Admin > Write > Write Pages, that are only examples that will not transfer over when you use the theme. If you already have pages in your blog/site, then it will be displayed in place of page 1 and page 2, if you don’t have any pages, it will only show the home link.

    Hi hso,

    Maybe I didn’t express myself well. If I was using your template, I wouldn’t want any links there at all except for the home one. My site will have at least 30 pages so having links to one or two of them or even all of them seems silly.

    Oh, then open header.php and look for this line within < and >

    ?php wp_list_pages(’sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li=’); ?

    Delete it.

    [...] Apologies to all readers, the blog is undergoing a bit of a reshape to make it more relevant. I’ve changed the Wordpress ( blog provider) theme (the way it looks), adding a bunch of feautures like the link bar on the left to the rest of weedyconnection’s online facilities, while keeping feautures from the earlier verion (like the translation tools) [...]

    Nice job on the Bees theme. What are the directions to move the sidebar to the rightside?

  1. 16. hso | September 8, 2007 #

    @ Kelly

    The quick and dirty method is to open style.css and look for these two pieces of styles:

    #content {
    float : right;
    width : 530px;
    margin : 0;
    padding : 0;
    }

    and

    #sidebar {
    float : left;
    width : 190px;
    margin : 0;
    padding-left : 5px;
    background : transparent;
    }

    Change the floats in each like below:

    #content {
    float : left;
    width : 530px;
    margin : 0;
    padding : 0;
    }

    and

    #sidebar {
    float : right;
    width : 190px;
    margin : 0;
    padding-left : 5px;
    background : transparent;
    }

    That will shift the sidebar from left to right and the main content from right to left, then make any necessary adjustments like padding from left to right and so forth as needed.
