   Absolutely adore this new design, Pomodoro. I loved it so much that it convinced me to switch to WordPress.

   I was just wondering, how can I change the image of the tomatoes to my own picture? Not exactly seasonal fruit where I live.

   Open the theme files and open the folder images and look for img3.jpg, it is 800px by 160px in size, change that image to what ever you want and that should take care of it.

   Great! Thanks, it worked… but now I’ve discovered another problem — none of the links work.

   For example, I write a posting, I publish it, it displays great on the homepage… but if I actually link on that title I get an error message saying that “there is no index directory.” The comments link doesn’t work either. Nor do any of my categories links work or the RSS feed (I’ve temporarily altered it contrary to the advice on the WordPress site).

   Ideas? Advice?

    I just checked with my webhost and it’s not a problem with the server, it’s definitely in the webdesign. The Tech Support guy says it looks like I’m missing folders that would host these links.

    I checked your site, it is wierd, try and upload all the theme files once again (not the images). The theme should atleast contain an header.php, index.php, sidebar.php, footer.php and style.css, if not, there is a problem.

    Also, how exactly are you uploading the theme files? FTP? WebFTP?

    Hi There,

    I’m FTP’ing to upload the theme files and I tried it again last night and it didn’t fix anything.

    Just a thought, would it have anything to do with how my domain has been structured?

    The URL is blogname.domainname.ca where the blog is a subdirectory of the domain name. So, when I’m FTP’ing anything related to the blog, it’s going into a folder for the website, not the main website itself (which has its own design files). What do you think?

    I hope this can be fixed so I don’t have to change it because lots of people in told me in person how much they love your design!

    Log into WP Admin and look under Options, there must be two setting you need to check:

    1) WordPress address (URI) and
    2) Blog address (URI)

    Tell me where they are pointing to?

    Also, does this happen when you use the default theme?

    Not a prob. I looked at your site again, from what I could tell, you have your permalink set to clean URL, which usually requires you have a .htaccess file in the root with read-write permission. Then we have 2 scenarios:

    1) If you are not sure if this .htaccess file exists, then turn your permalink back to default and check the site links.

    2) You know it exists and has the right permissions, then deactivate all plugins and check the site links.

    Then let me know which worked (if it does).

    I looked again, I am pretty sure it is your permalink structure! Change the settings in WP Admin > Options > Permalink to default.

    I absolutely love pomodoro! Just my style! Something probably oh, so simple, but I can’t fix it! I am trying to update the Flickr script to show my photos. I know the instructions say to change the tag to my unique tag, but is this it? Is the tag part my Flickr account? If not, where do I get the tag?

    The tag is created when you upload images to Flickr, if you already have a Flickr account, login and organize your pictures by adding a tag that is unique, then test it out on Flickr by searching for the tag, if your tag was set correctly and accepted the search results will show only your images.

    Use that tag in the script and it should work!

    I have been searching for a good theme for my domain name. I really like this one and will probably tweak it some. I notice that there is a plugins folder in the theme file with Widgets. I uploaded the Widgets file to the WP Plugins file and it’s not working. When I activate the Sidebar Widgets in the admin section - it says, “fatal error”. Am I supposed to put them in there?

    As with any theme and plugin, you are required to place the theme folders in wp-content/themes and the plugin files (within the plugin folder from zip) to wp-content/plugins

    The theme itself will work without any plugins! The sidebar widget is just an optional feature. If you are experiencing an error, copy and paste the error to your comment and I could look into it.

    Open style.css and look for lines such as this:

    font: normal small Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

    It will start with “font” or “font-family”. Hope it helps!

    Love this design … I’ve added a traffic widget to my blog that flows over into the center column, hiding some of the content. Is there a way to change the column widths to make the widget fit?

    These are the three styles that you should mod to make your traffic widget fit:

    #colOne {float: left; width: 150px; padding: 20px 10px 20px 0px;}
    #colTwo {float: left; width: 450px; padding: 20px 5px 20px 5px;}
    #colThree {float: left; width: 150px; padding: 20px 0px 20px 10px;}

    Any changes you make to any of the columns must be compensated by a change of equal value in one or more of the remainder columns. For example, if you increase colOne from 150px to 200px, you need to reduce the width of either colTwo or colThree by 50px; alternatively, you could reduce the width of both colTwo and colThree by 25px each (or in any part totaling 50px). Makes sense?

    hi…love the theme….one issue…i see no navigation whatsoever….i have 6 recipes posted…and on bottom of page there is no “next” arrow…why is that?…and i have the site set to post 5 posts per page…where is the 6th one?

    i also see to navigation.php file?…shouldn’t there be one?

    The instructions to add previous/next links are specific to the WP version you are using, I suggest you refer to the Codex for details.

    As far as having a navigation.php file, it’s optional and not necessary for this theme.

    thanks….that worked…however…one more issue….in firefox i see the menu under header…..and in IE6 as well….however in IE7 the menu bar is nowhere to be found….what do i need to do to get menu to appear in IE7 for pomodoro??

    While I am not exactly sure why IE 7 is not showing your menu, I suggest you try this:

    Open style.css
    Find the menu styling:

    #menu
    {
    width:100%;
    text-align: justify;
    }

    Add two more lines of style to it like below:

    #menu
    {
    width:100%;
    text-align: justify;
    z-index: 999999;
    position: absolute;
    }

    Let me know if it works in IE7.

    Found same thing as tony with IE7. Implemented your fix, but now the menu shows however it is set off to the right and is covering text.

    Any other ideas?

    #menu
    {
    width:100%;
    text-align: justify;
    z-index: 999999;
    position: relative;
    }

    The relative positioning might do the trick (might being the keyword).
