iraqWhile the US is busy planning a surge in armed personal in Iraq, their largest ally is pulling out. The Republicans say it is a sign of success, that the Brits are pulling out as they completed the task of securing Southern Iraq. Then why may I ask are they not heading north to help their US counterparts?

I think it is more a sign of the political tide and the lack of raw courage to finish and complete task at hand.

If you liberate a country from a dictator it is your obligation to stick around and work through the bumps, bruises, wounds and even death that occurs.

For the Iraqi’s this is certainly less death then the genocide Saddam was handing out and for the Americans it is likely signifcantly less then the deaths that would occur if we allowed one terrorist attack after another to occur on our homeland. Never forget we did not invite them to the twin towers or our boats and embassies.

Bush was not in office long enough to provoke the anger. This is a relgious war for them as we are not a theocracy and are therefore a pagan society which must be abolished. Atheist is even worse to them!

The politicians know this, they get the briefings, but it doesn’t make for good election foder. Instead of putting the future generations of all peoples first, the politicians are busy taking care of their own incomes hoping it doesn’t blow-up in their face before election day!

Ugliness happens in the world, sorry… It is our obligation to protect ourselves or those we care about, as well as future generations. If you put your head in the sand and ignore the facts of history then you must accept the fact that your back-side is pointed up and is going to eventually get blown-off.

    Eyes wide open!
