Not sure what exactly you want to accomplish, usually when I run into a issue with plugin CSS clashing with the theme one, I remove the plugin CSS and re-style it to match my theme.

I've been trying to figure out how to fix the margin/padding issues on the Wordpress admin when installing certain plugins. I've mainly experienced this with wp-ecommerce. I'm diggin right now to try to find the specific fix, thanks for the info on this being a general plugin type of error and not a wp-ecommerce specific issue!

As long as you use widgets to add your sidebar contents, all widget ready themes should work in all version of WP from the production version on up. For example, our older themes are built for WP 2.0.x, and if it widget ready, will work in all version from 2.0.x to date. Hope this info helps!

Depending on where you place the widgets (WP-eCommerce cart or whatever), you can apply styles from the CSS. Also, check the plugin files, they have their default CSS within the plugin php files, that could also be a place to check.

hello again

I've got another issue that perhaps you can help with. Plugins that place text in the post area seem to default to aligning the text flush to the left with no spacing, which of course looks bad.

This happens with WP-eCommerce and other plugins. I've tried digging thru the CSS to see if I can tweak it to give it some padding, but so far no luck. This doesn't happen when I switch to the default WP theme, so I guess it must be something in Orange v3? Any suggestions? Thanks

That absolutely solved my confusion. I already changed the the text and links, I just couldn't figure the location of the background for the post. Forgot to check the divs.

Thanks !

@ Cherie

Check this line, make sure you changed it:

div.post{
	background:#000000;

Since everything will now be white, you might have to change the text and link colors!

Also, did you consider using Tree V2, it is White and it is exactly the same as Orange V3!

Thanks, it works smooth as silk with no errors now!

One question; I am planning to run two "blogs" on the same domain; (in two diff. directories) one as an actual blog and one as a shop. I want to change the black background of the main content area in the shop to white.

The only thing I haven't been able to change in the CSS is the background of the "post" field, which remains black, while the rest is white. Is this background defined in one of the PHP include files, or am I just missing it somewhere in the style.css?
