Tree and Orange IE Error on Page/Object Expected Fix

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Just recently found out that IE users are noticing an error with Tree and Orange theme, caused by a missing JavaScript. Failing to fix this will not affect usability (in some cases will make the site open slower), but those who are interested can download the script from here, delete the .txt extension and upload it to the theme folder along with style.css and themetoolkit.php.

Get the JavaScript file from here.

Can you post your web URL here for me to check? Also, what browser are you using?

in lower left hand corner of website http://www.realaid.com it says “error on page”; we have already tried uninstalling the website and then re-installing it page by page. “Error on page” is still there. Is there some simple way to fix it, or would it be a complex coding problem?

    @ John Williamson

There is a JavaScript at the very bottom of your page which is causing this error, not sure what the purpose of the script is (appears useless), but if it is not used on your site, just delete it and the error should go away. BTW, I noticed you are NOT using WordPress, how did you get to our site?

Upgrade your theme to either Tree V2 or Orange V3 depending on the theme you are currently using.

Every time I start my Internet Explorer 8 Beta, the default web page is not my default, or it gets re-directed, can you help? I get this message:

    Object Expected
    http://www.msn.com lINE: 1
    Code: 0
    URL: http://www.msn.com/ CHAR: 1

    @ Carlos Santana

I am no expert on IE, in fact I do not use IE expect when I check my work for browser compatibility. IE 8 is in beta, so you may want to take it to the guys developing it at MS.
