atefah There are many reasons I think of to condemn religious fundamentalism, this is just one of it. This story reflects on the cultural deficiency of certain sects in our society and their faulty justification for their cruel and inhumane acts. Like it or not, these people (fill in the name of your favorite fundamentalist group) are morons who can’t tell their asses from their faces, the Ayatollahs of stupidity, the Popes of idiocy.

If we in this day and age tolerate such barbarism, we are nothing more than tools in the hands of the devil himself. We should not just oppose, but proactively eliminate such cancerous clerics who waste the lives of our youth in the name of cultural cleansing. It is they who need to be hung.

I agree. The moral bankruptcy of murdering a youth for crimes she did not not commit, nor if she did, can even be considered crimes, is a testament to the backwards upside down religion that Islam is. It would be wonderful if we could blame this on fundamendalists, but that’s a little difficult when millions of muslims worldwide believe in this nonsensical interpretation of Islam. It is a cancer, and worse yet, there seems to be no treatment for it except eradication.

Reading stories like this one reminds me of how much wrong there is in the world. It’s leaders like these who should be tried on crimes against humanity.

The only way to effect a change is to bring light to the situation. I commend you for doing your part, HSO. Let’s hope that compassion doesn’t weep and shed it’s tears only to wipe it’s eyes and forget.
