   Unfortunately, this seems to be a sign of the times. I find it happens everywhere - I’ve experienced a lot of it in the local papers here. I’ll submit a letter to the editor and they edit it to make it “fit” - “piecing” things together in a way that completely misrepresents what I’d been trying to say. Now when I write the first thing I include is a statement that reads, “if you’re going to use this letter, please use it in its entirety or not at all”.

   The act of “censoring� automatically means they are NOT interested in hearing my opinion. Then why pretend like they care?

   I might have to write something nice to get my comments posted, but then, f*** them.

   exactly, it stops being “your” opinion when it’s censored. It then becomes someone else’s version of your opinion, which can be quite different. Sucks.

   A lot is being talked in the media regarding Veil issue for Muslim women. I guess covering the head can be a religious issue but covering the face is more a customary & regional thing than religious. To my knowledge, there is no specific instruction for women in Islam to cover their faces. One the other hand it looks that these thing are happening more in a reaction to the situation around the world Muslims are facing.

   Why is everyone is an uproar about comments not getting posted?? Does your ego need that little bit of extra stroking? if so then why not start your own blog and rant and rave like you want and you’ll not have the censorship problems. Not everyone can hear everyone all the time. Ther eis not enough time in the day…
