Iran is the New Iraq

At least that is what the US is claiming in the US State Department’s annual report on world terrorism. The report finds that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and intelligence ministry are directly involved in planning and supporting terrorist acts. And with Iran’s relentless efforts towards building a nuclear state, “weapons of mass destruction” are not a fictional excuse to go to war anymore, but rather self-confessed/boastful claims that could be used against Iran by the current administration if needed.
Is this good enough to attack Iran preemptively? Some might say yes, but in all likelihood, with the dropping poll numbers, Bush is better of letting Iran have its way than suffer the consequence of Republicans losing ground in the November elections. As for Iran, the timing could not have been any better, whether or not they have the technology to enrich enough uranium to make bombs, the sheer idea that they could, provides enough political leverage to negotiate on equal footing with the worlds only superpower.
