Monday Bloody Monday

Another suicide bomber, another Israeli air strike, another bloody Monday. The incident being the first such since Hamas came into power, provided a glimpse of its ever-straining relationship with Israel, which is neither recognized nor liked by many in Palestine. The latest suicide bomber fits the stereotype, a 21 year old from Jenin, a refugee camp raided by Israelis countless times.
Sami Abu Zuhri, the official spokesman for Hamas, speaking about this incident said the bombing was “a natural result of the continued Israeli crimes” against Palestinians.

This month alone, Israeli forces fired more than 2,000 artillery shells into the northern Gaza Strip, claiming it to be retaliation for a growing number of rocket attacks by Palestinian militants. The picture is that of an eight-year-old Gazan girl killed this week (AP Photo), such pictures are seldom front page worthy of the mostly Zionist western media. The only parallel here is the pain and suffering on both ends, the conflict is not expected to resolve as long as Israel continues its occupation of Palestinian, and Israel will not stop its aggression as long as violence like today cease. Hamas and Israeli should first off accept each other as legitimate political blocks and try to resolve the conflict through peaceful and diplomatic efforts rather than trying to raze each other off.
