Speculation that the US has in its books a nuclear tactical option to deal with Iran’s continuation of its fissile program resulted in this announcement late Tuesday- “Iran has confirmed it has successfully produced the enriched uranium needed to make nuclear fuel.� Neither Iran nor the US has the wining cards in this high stake showdown, if anything, it is a clear sign that the time is ripe for political bargaining.
Iran had Iraq on its mind just as much as the US, now that Iraq is on the verge of a civil war, their interests converge. This uncomfortable scenario will bring Iran and the US to a consensus meeting, so Iran decided to make the most of it while it has curious spectators.
